outta the office.

sigh. I dont like clearing things away. It's perhaps an unnecessary attachment to things

clearing out things whether wholly or selectively, it still signifies changes to come. as though making space for new things to arrive. Today, clearing the office desk meant that i wont be workin there anymore and i'm moving on.

tan

my mum doesnt like it when i get tanned.
"aiyo, dark until like bangali already"
gotta understand mah mum came fr the era when fair as white, soft skin was considered to be beautiful for a lady. and she maintains tat type of beauty even now.

Nowadays we accept a mish-mash of things... for the same woman magazine, they can put up pages of "How to get a perfect tan this summer without killing your skin" but in between them they slot in ads of "Whitening cream, only takes x days to see its effects!"

we Cannot live without contradictions. really?

Fox.

Fox has cool clothes. Like them.. but i still haf no idea where they came fr. US of A? Europe? u cant even figure fr their unique way of labeling sizes - P,1,2,3.. P is smaller than 1, but what does it stand for? Puny?
wells, anyways. shopping there would be an experience. Go try it.
First step into the shop and ok, if u like the clothes.. u be happy. if not then get out. Browsing is different, coz like 85% of their clothes are folded for display. So.. wanting to BRoWSE through the clothes is just like grabbin clothes from ya wardrobe and see if u like them or not. Not liking what u grabbed, u toss and shove it back on the shelf. ( come on, we all do that at home. so it's just a habit )
Talked to one of the salesgirls when i asked if there were another piece of top i liked (I wanted a size 1 instead of 2). She walked ard the shop, and couldnt find another one.. duh.

"Sorry, that must be the last piece.. i dont think there's another one.....
argh.. everywhere's so messy"

"yeah, tough job yea?" i smiled politely.

im thinkin more like: wow, they must pay you A LOT for you to constantly fold clothes. and resist screaming at customers to stop unfolding them. Maybe they'll pay for ya fees in future when u need to visit the psychiatry.
(another salesgirl frowned and went "that one's on display" as i reached for a particular one. but most on the shelves arent. wateva)

anyways anyways, Fox is rich. Rolls of receipts i saw at the counter. one slip is a proof of $114.50 spent. whoa. see how much they earn... (yes, rem mah contribution)

ok, so. they should be able to afford hangers soon.

Self Actualisation

My temperament is RATIONAL

Rationals, are the problem solving temperament, particularly if the problem has to do with the many complex systems that make up the world around us. Rationals might tackle problems in organic systems such as plants and animals, or in mechanical systems such as railroads and computers, or in social systems such as families and companies and governments. But whatever systems fire their curiosity, Rationals will analyze them to understand how they work, so they can figure out how to make them work better.

In working with problems, Rationals try to find solutions that have application in the real world, but they are even more interested in the abstract concepts involved, the fundamental principles or natural laws that underlie the particular case. And they are completely pragmatic about their ways and means of achieving their ends. Rationals don't care about being politically correct. They are interested in the most efficient solutions possible, and will listen to anyone who has something useful to teach them, while disregarding any authority or customary procedure that wastes time and resources.

Rationals have an insatiable hunger to accomplish their goals and will work tirelessly on any project they have set their mind to. They are rigorously logical and fiercely independent in their thinking--are indeed skeptical of all ideas, even their own--and they believe they can overcome any obstacle with their will power. Often they are seen as cold and distant, but this is really the absorbed concentration they give to whatever problem they're working on. Whether designing a skyscraper or an experiment, developing a theory or a prototype technology, building an aircraft, a corporation, or a strategic alliance, Rationals value intelligence, in themselves and others, and they pride themselves on the ingenuity they bring to their problem solving.

Rationals are very scarce, comprising as little as 5 to 10 percent of the population. But because of their drive to unlock the secrets of nature, and to develop new technologies, they have done much to shape our world.

disregarding any authority or customary procedure that wastes time and resources -- no wonder i haf these tendecies.

sounds funny, but sounds familiar... yea, i wont pin myself to this whole theory either.

I'm a bummer who's in need of money to feed my shopping and eating frenzies.
The more you spend, the more you save. Fund me by buying the bag-- it could be my very Italian dinner.

I'm in love with Italian food now. Gelati Gelati Gelati.. Gimme Gelati. Went into the supermarket after work today. i spontaneously walked to various parts of the supermarket, and i grabbed a pack of Fusilli, mushroom cream sauce. Went to another supermarket to get shredded Mozarella cheese and some picnic ham.
I'm so so happy and fulL. ahaha..

yea yea yea. The Apprentice is gonna start when its already over. (--this is a paradox). love the tv.
watched bits and pieces of the tennis match yesterday. Coria vs Gaudio. and occasionally switch channel to watch The Longest Day. The movie was interesting coz they made both the Germans and the Allies look stupid- Germans never anticipated an attack at Normandy and plus with the bad weather whereas Allies paratroops miss their landing target by miles.. >>> Coria couldnt feel his legs and so lost the 4th round. argh. how unfortunate. >>> More bombings/gunshots. "We are living in a historical moment" "People are gonna talk about us even long after we die" >>> Coria's made a comeback!>>> ok, in the end, allies and Gaudio are the winners. #

Uncanny

My goodie friend was telling me about his friend, who has led a life that’s rough and difficult. Family matters and relationships failed him, and hence he’d been slapped around by rejection. As my friend described the problems to me, I was rather sarcastic and dismissive in my response.
“yeah, and the next thing that’s gonna happen is to commit suicide” was something I meant as fictional/dramatized/hollywoodized.
2 days later, that guy did attempted suicide. Me and my fat-witted words. Never treat suicidal people with ignorance. Can be fatal.

Self-actualization.
I can be quite hot-tempered, like my dad. And I can scold ppl like my bro. I’m rather indecisive like my mum. Ha.

well.. chanced upon this song. sounds quite groovy..

Roll To Me

Look around your world pretty baby
Is it everything you hoped it'd be
The wrong guy, the wrong situation
The right time to roll to me

Look into your heart pretty baby,
Is it aching with some nameless need.
Is there something wrong and you can't put your finger on it
Right then, roll to me

And I don't think I have ever seen a soul so in despair
So if you want to talk the night through
Guess who will be there?

So don't try to deny it pretty baby,
You've been down so long you can hardly see
When the engine's stalled and it won't stop raining
It's the right time to roll to me

Look around your world pretty baby
Is it everything you hoped it'd be
The wrong guy, the wrong situation
The right time to roll to me

Ponder the achievement of God He doesnt condone our sin, nor does he compromise his standard. He doesnt ignore our rebellioin, nor does he relax on his demands. Rather than dismiss our sin, he assumes our sin and, incredibly, sentences himself. God's holiness is honored. Our sin is punished... and we are redeemed. God does what we cannot do so we can be what we dare not dream: Perfect before God. - Max Lucado- (adapted fr the book IN THE GRIP OF GRACE)
